ROOFTOP TERRACE SURFACING

Specialist Rooftop Solutions

Unlike traditional ground-level installations that rely on tarmac or MOT stone sub-bases, rooftop projects require a lightweight, cold-applied solution that’s easy to handle and install. DCM Surfaces offer several systems for constructing sub-base layers on roof terraces and podium decks, including Rubber-Gravel Mix (a SUDs-compliant material offering flexibility and drainage), Drainage Board filled with pea gravel to promote efficient water flow, and a Metal Tray System for a durable, structured finish.

Each of these solutions supports water permeability, allowing rainwater to pass through the artificial grass, rubber crumb, or bound gravel surface and drain effectively through the layers below.

Note: When threshold depths are limited, Rubber-Gravel Mix can be substituted for a denser product such as Bound Gravel with a non-UV stable binder.

Bound Gravel

Bound Gravel has been tested to BN ES1187: 2012 Test 4 External fire exposure to roofs.
